Eamon's Overnight Stay

Argh, matey! Who says I'm not feeling well? I did this all by myself, didn't I?
Knowing some doctors in the hospital has some perks. Dr. Jennifer brought him some toys to keep him busy! Endless battles were staged.
Finally feeling well enough to smile. And back to his own little self again. So happy to see it.
Eamon looks mighty happy considering he had to spend two days in the hospital. He may have been the sick one, but we were more beat up with worry than he was.
"We have our own bathroom! It's like a hotel!"

Blueberry Season

Somebody around here likes blueberries. He also happens to have a birthday smack dab in blueberry season!

Lemon blueberry roulade cake.

Happy birthday, Daddy! (We won't mention how old Daddy is turning because he is VERY sensitive about this year, ahem)

Now that's some blueberry love!
Unlike his father, the ONLY time Liam will eat a blueberry is if it comes straight off a bush! Luckily, he's a great worker bee.
Little bluebelle.
Little helper.
Mmm. Homemade blueberry lemon ice cream!

Fridays at Farmland

Snack time in the cow pen!
Peacock showing off
Waiting for the day when their brothers can join them to complete the set.
Nom Nom
Rustic chicken
Two day old goats. Sadie sang them "Baa Baa Black Sheep". I think they were confused.
Flash the Turtle.
Left to their own devices, they would milk the fake cow all day long.

Eamon is learning to read, but not well enough at the moment to decipher the sign that says: "Do not chase the chickens" because he chased this rooster over hill and dale.

Mother's day 2012

10/12 grandkids is as good as we could manage to get in one place.
Hopefully Grammy was happy with those statistics!

Bossypants

Sadie told me today that she was the babysitter and it was time for Baby Maddie's nap. She then proceeded to bully Eamon into playing Baby Maddy (her favorite baby from daycare), stuck him in "his crib" , gave him his blanket and patted his back until he "fell asleep" (got sick of taking orders from her). The joke is on her.... A few minutes later, she fell asleep herself! I find it intriguing not only that her imagination is so well defined at age two, but that she thinks it's her rightful place to tell her brother exactly how to play!

Memorial Day shenanigans

The Bigs had a Memorial Day presentation at their school where they sang like champs. Unfortunately, I didn't get any great photos, so I took some of the Littles instead.

I had to bribe him with lunch at Grammy and Grampys for this photo op.

Little model posing on cue.

Not such model behavior after all.

She's got a naughty streak a mile thick. I wouldn't trade her though. As one Mom whispered to me on the way out of the Memorial Day exercises: "She was the most entertaining part of the show!"

Faking demure.

Picking flowers for Grammy

Done with photos. Off to the next adventure.
